Scarifying the lawn is essential for healthy grass. A good scarifier will remove moss and thatch to allow the grass to breath and water to get to the roots where it’s needed.
For some, scarifying is a back breaking manual task but it needn’t be. With the Mountfield S38 scarifier, removing moss and thatch from the lawn is easy and quick.
Built around a sturdy steel chassis, the Mountfield S38 uses 16 double tipped blades to rake out dead grass and moss over a working width of 38cm. The moss and thatch can be collected in the 45 litre collector or left on the lawn for later collection if preferred.
The scarifying rotor is controlled by a clutch and the height of scarification is easily adjusted to a maximum depth of 20mm.
