At FG Adamson & Son we are, of course, very happy each time
you wish to order goods from us. Occasionally, though, we know that
you may want to return items to us, so below is our Returns Policy.
Return
of all Items
We
accept the return of items only if they are unopened and in their
original condition. To return an item to us you must telephone us
within 7 days of their delivery to inform us of your intention to
do so. If you return goods, as detailed, within 21 days of delivery
to you, we will issue a refund to you for the price you paid for
the item less the cost of transporting the goods to you and less
any other charges we have incurred in fulfilling your order. Please
note that you will be responsible for the cost of returning the
goods to us.
Defective
Items
You
can always return items to us if they are defective. Please note
that we only accept returns of items that have been opened if they
are defective. In the case of a defective product, when returning
an item please provide a full description of the fault and return
the defective item to us in its original packaging together with
all warranty documents, manuals and accessories. For your protection
we would recommend that you use a Recorded Delivery Service. Our
Returns Policy does not affect your Statutory Rights.
Cancelling
an Item
Under
the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations you have
the right to cancel the Contract for the purchase of any item within
7 working days of delivery. This applies to all of our products.
To
cancel the Contract please package the relevant item securely and
mark the package "Contract Cancellation" and send it to
us so that we receive it within 7 working days of the date that
the item was delivered to you. The return address is our normal
business address, which is FG Adamson & Son, Occupation Lane,
Swanland, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU14 3QZ.
Oil and Petrol
When returning any petrol powered product all oil and petrol
MUST be drained from the engine before you release the goods
to a carrier. This is for the safety of the carrier firm.
